To be considered for this role, you must:
Be authorized to work in the United States
Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment
Be able to work on a W-2 basis. C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this position
Be able to work Pacific Time Zone hours
What You’ll Do:
You will be at the forefront of patient interaction, managing the essential processes that enable individuals to access care. This includes comprehensive patient intake, ensuring all necessary information is gathered accurately and efficiently. Your daily efforts will directly contribute to a positive patient experience and the operational excellence of our healthcare services.
Complete the patient admission and intake process in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Obtain and accurately document required deductibles, co-payments, and deposits.
Collect necessary signatures on all intake-related documents.
Manage patient belongings following departmental guidelines.
Scan all relevant documentation into electronic systems before the end of your shift.
Utilize various online systems to gather insurance and patient demographic information.
Prioritize tasks effectively during peak periods to enhance customer service, operational efficiency, and financial benefit.
Cultivate strong cooperative relationships with colleagues and clinical staff, providing necessary patient-related materials promptly.
Process updates and communications from clinical teams in a timely manner.
Collaborate effectively within a team environment, offering and seeking assistance as needed, and maintaining high-quality work with minimal supervision.
Deliver sensitive, timely, and appropriate customer service across all patient service areas.
Distribute the Notice of Privacy Practices in compliance with regulations and organizational policy.
Maintain a sensitive, solution-oriented, and professional demeanor at all times.
Actively participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Foster collaborative working relationships with both internal and external partners, including emergency services and regulatory agencies.
Channel stress constructively to complete tasks and foster a positive work environment.
Ensure office equipment is functional and be proficient in downtime procedures and workaround solutions.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations
What You’ll Bring
High school diploma.
Typing speed of 30 words per minute.
Proficiency in using multiple computer programs simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Self-motivation with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Capability to work at both stationary and mobile workstations, accommodating sitting and standing requirements.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse staff in a sensitive and demanding environment.
Flexible availability to accommodate training and work schedules.
What Will Set You Apart:
An Associate’s (AA) degree.
Proficiency in a second language.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $31.96 – $35.96 an hour.
