Associate Product Manager

As an Associate Product Manager at Sessions Health, you will support the growth and development of our electronic health record platform while building foundational product management skills. Working closely with the Lead Product Manager, Senior Product Designer, engineering team, stakeholders, and customer-facing staff, you will contribute to feature development, customer research, and product optimization in our focused healthcare technology company. This remote role reports directly to the Lead Product Manager and is designed for early-career professionals seeking mentorship and hands-on experience in SaaS product development.

Key Responsibilities
Sessions Health serves thousands of mental health professionals with our HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) platform. Our mission is to streamline the work of therapists and behavioral health practices through thoughtful, user-centered technology.
Product Planning and Prioritization
Support product roadmap development and strategic planning initiatives
Assist in prioritizing feature development based on customer needs and business objectives
Collaborate with Lead Product Manager on quarterly and cycle planning activities
Help evaluate and rank product improvement opportunities
Contribute to product requirement gathering and specification development
Product Beta Testing and Quality Assurance
Conduct comprehensive beta testing of new features and product updates
Document testing results, identify issues, and recommend improvements
Ensure product quality standards are met before feature releases
Contribute to product-led QA efforts and collaborate with engineering to ensure test
coverage and successful release readiness
Continuous Product Improvement
Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for enhancement
Analyze customer feedback patterns and translate insights into product improvements
Support ongoing optimization of existing features and user workflows
Research industry best practices and competitive landscape for improvement ideas
Drive initiatives to enhance user experience and product functionality
Customer Research and Feedback
Conduct customer interviews and usability testing sessions to gather product feedback
Review customer support tickets and identify patterns in user issues and requests
Collaborate with Customer Success Team to understand user pain points
Document customer insights and translate findings into actionable product recommendations
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Participate in cycle planning and daily stand-ups with the engineering team
Collaborate with Senior Product Designer on user experience improvements and feature design
Coordinate product launches and feature rollouts across teams
Assist in competitive research and market analysis activities
Support communication between product, engineering, customer success, and leadership teams
Required Skills & Experience
Core Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, technology, or healthcare-related field
1-3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, project coordination, or customer-facing roles
Strong interest in healthcare technology and improving user experiences
Essential Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and project management abilities
Customer-focused mindset with experience gathering and synthesizing feedback
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and functions
Detail-oriented approach to testing and quality assurance
Comfortable with technology and eager to learn new tools and processes
Preferred Experience
Experience with B2B SaaS products or healthcare technology
Background in product testing, quality assurance, or user research
Familiarity with agile development processes
Previous experience in customer success, support, or client-facing roles
