Job Description:
Harmony Rodale Convergent Books is currently seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Publishing Associate to support the President and Deputy Publisher across all aspects of our publishing program. The ideal candidate will be able to manage a diverse set of publishing responsibilities and adapt to different work styles, with an ability to re-prioritize projects based on sales and publishing needs. The candidate should also be interested in nonfiction books in the categories we publish, be creative, curious, and collaborative, with a flexible mindset.
Harmony, Rodale, and Convergent Books comprise three distinct imprints that publish industry-leading nonfiction by thought leaders, distinguished authorities, and credentialed experts seeking to reshape the cultural conversation. We publish visionary, practical, and faith-based nonfiction that helps and inspires people to improve their lives.
Specific responsibilities include:
Provide administrative support, such as tracking deadlines, organizing and scheduling meetings, and tracking projects
Manage the seasonal span process and provide support materials for span meetings, schedule span meetings and execute follow up action items
Track and alert the team to various deadlines for seasonal spans
Provide follow-up materials and communication to the sales marketing team in relation to seasonal spans
Research and create detailed sales reporting and analyze data to help inform seasonal publishing decisions; provide individual title sales and laydown information, author sales history as needed; and more
Research and report on inventory needs, , sales patterns, and competitive analysis
Update and manage yearly editorial/inventory planning grids
Manage imprint-wide communications and schedule department meetings, coordinate meeting agendas, gather meeting materials, and take minutes
Handle special projects to support the overall efforts of all imprints
Distill and report on the latest corporate trends
Create sales support materials as needed.

Power Bi Knowledge is a plus.
The salary for this position is $56,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
This hybrid position has occasional in-office responsibilities, including but not limited to in-office meetings, author visits or events, and daily ad hoc administrative projects. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA).
