Job Description
Regular interface with internal and external clients to ensure successful setup, implementation, and delivery of scheduling and project controls strategies. Ensure client goals and objectives are clearly defined and achieved, project execution plans are implemented, and proactively anticipate/respond to client needs while acting as a trusted advisor.
Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of project scheduling processes across the full lifecycle, including baseline schedule creation, progress tracking, updates, and reporting.
Establish and maintain integrated master schedules (IMS), including all phases of design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out.
Provide schedule-driven insights, including critical path analysis, schedule risk identification, and mitigation strategies to support project decision-making.
Prepare and manage project reporting deliverables such as schedule updates, variance analysis, earned value reporting, milestone tracking, and executive dashboards.
Manage schedule inputs related to due diligence, programming, design, entitlements, bidding, permitting, procurement, construction sequencing, and turnover.
Demonstrate competence across a broad range of project types and operate effectively in complex, fast-paced, and non-routine environments.
Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new project opportunities and supporting client pursuits with scheduling expertise.
Oversee portfolio-level scheduling for capital programs across multiple sites, ensuring consistency, transparency, and alignment with client objectives.
Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and consultants to validate schedules, ensure alignment with project scope, and monitor performance against plan.
Review contractor schedules for compliance with contract requirements and industry best practices; negotiate schedule terms as needed.
Identify and escalate schedule risks, delays, and impacts, including potential claims exposure and reputational risks, in coordination with Market/Program Leadership.
Provide appropriate on-site engagement to validate progress, ensure schedule integrity, and support resolution of execution challenges.
Demonstrate proficiency in scheduling tools and PDS technologies required for project delivery.
Lead and mentor scheduling staff, including resource planning, performance management, professional development, and adherence to company processes and standards.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Professional certification preferred (e.g., PMI-SP, PSP, PMP, or equivalent).
Twelve or more years of related scheduling/project controls experience with at least 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
Data Center experience strongly preferred.
Proven ability to influence the strategic direction of project controls or scheduling functions within a business unit or practice area.
Advanced expertise in project scheduling methodologies, including CPM, resource loading, and schedule risk analysis.
Expert-level client engagement, stakeholder management, and consulting capability.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex schedule data to executive stakeholders.
Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of construction and project delivery processes, including integration with cost, risk, and change management.
Software skills: Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project; working knowledge of scheduling analytics tools and Microsoft Office suite.
