Part-Time Product Manager/Owner
HR Partner is an HR management platform designed for small to medium-sized businesses. We help teams streamline HR processes like employee records, leave requests, onboarding, recruitment, and performance reviews - all in one secure, centralised system. Founded on the belief that HR should be approachable and efficient, HR Partner is used by hundreds of organisations worldwide to run their HR without the complexity (or price tag) of enterprise software.
We are a bootstrapped and started in Australia, but we have team members based around the world. We now have over 1500 customers in 70+ countries who use our system for managing their employees, onboarding, recruitment, eSignatures, leave management and more.
We’re looking for a part-time Product Manager/Owner who can help shape and guide our product roadmap, break down improvements into manageable pieces of work, keep development projects moving, and ensure our customers get a product that’s not only functional but a pleasure to use. You’ll work closely with our small development team - including our founder - to prioritise features, design functionality, coordinate releases, and improve our user interface.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across strategy and execution, with a mix of product management, project coordination, and a good eye for UI/UX design.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with the founder and developers to define and maintain the product roadmap
Translate customer needs and feedback into actionable product and technical requirements
Plan and manage development work, ensuring continuous improvement of our product, as well as addressing bugs promptly
Conduct light user testing and usability reviews
Coordinate release notes and ensure smooth feature rollouts
Ideally you will also help to create designs and prototypes to help improve the UI/UX as features are improved
Maintain clear communication between the development team and other stakeholders
About You
4+ years of product management, or similar experience
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience working with or alongside technical teams
Some hands-on UI/UX design or wireframing skills (Figma or similar)
Excellent communicator - you can translate technical ideas for non-technical audiences and vice versa
Comfortable working independently in a remote team environment
Self-motivated and proactive - you can spot issues before they become problems
Located in a time zone that allows at least 4 hours of overlap with both Australia (AEST) and Pakistan (PKT)
Nice-to-Haves
Experience in SaaS, especially HR or business software
Understanding of web application development fundamentals
Some UI/UX experience and skills
What We Offer
Flexible hours - although you’ll need to work with our developers and other stakeholders, much of your hours will be flexible
Opportunity to shape a growing product used by businesses worldwide
Collaborative, friendly, and low-bureaucracy team culture
Fully remote work with competitive pay
Part-time work of approx. 20 hours per week
If you’re excited about building great products and making a visible impact in a small, close-knit team, we’d love to hear from you!
