We have a varied client base that requires no overnight travel and no auditing. We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant
All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.
CPA and one to three + of experience are preferred but will consider candidates with both more and less experience who display the necessary skills and attributes for success.
Essential Job Duties include*:
Prepare and review tax computations for 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065 and complete returns
Prepare and review tax plans
Prepare monthly bookkeeping
Prepare bank reconciliations
Prepare and maintain payroll records
Prepare compiled and reviewed financial statements
Maintain client depreciation schedules
Remain up-to-date on current tax laws, technology, and software programs
Maintain client contacts, assist clients with accounting questions as they arise, and provide exceptional client service

It is anticipated the Staff Accountant will average 50-60 hours per week during the period January 2 - April 15 and 24-32 hours per week during the period April 16 - December 31.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in accounting, finance, or related field or two to four years related experience and/or training.
Ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Experience with accounting and tax software
