About the Opportunity
Altis Recruitment is partnering with a growing organization in the insurance and risk management sector to hire a Vice President, Reinsurance. This is a unique opportunity to lead a specialized global reinsurance portfolio while working alongside experienced underwriting, business development, and executive leadership teams.
This role is ideal for a technically strong reinsurance professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting business growth, and operating in an entrepreneurial environment. You'll play a key role in managing treaty reinsurance programs, strengthening broker and partner relationships, and supporting portfolio growth across international markets.

Your Responsibilities
You'll lead the execution and management of treaty and facultative reinsurance programs across multiple regions.
You'll partner closely with underwriting teams to evaluate risk, profitability, and portfolio performance.
You'll strengthen relationships with brokers, reinsurers, and key industry partners to support business growth.
You'll oversee reinsurance negotiations, renewals, placements, and contract management activities.
You'll support international market expansion initiatives through technical underwriting expertise and market knowledge.
You'll mentor and support a small team of underwriting and business development professionals.
You'll monitor market trends and emerging risks to identify opportunities and support informed decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications
10+ years of progressive insurance and reinsurance experience
Strong treaty reinsurance and underwriting expertise, ideally within Life and/or Accident & Health lines
Experience negotiating and managing relationships with brokers, reinsurers, and international stakeholders
Exposure to global markets, including North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, or Latin America
Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams or mentoring professionals
Strong analytical, commercial, and relationship-building skills
Ability to travel internationally as required
